Huda Beauty The Overachiever High Coverage Concealer – is an item I kept reading and deciding if I should get it, specially seeing how much it goes for but after reading the claims and seeing a few before and after pictures I wonder if this could also help my problem areas.
I dont struggle with dark circles which at first I thought this concealer was made just for that but after reading the ingredients I wanted to test it out and see if it will work great on my skin. My concern when applying concealer is baggy eyes, fine lines, very thin section which you can see a bit of my veins on the corners and sensitive skin.
Here is a few things I found out about this new product.
✅What to expect – claims
The overachiever concealer has a few claims and a nice range of shades.
The first claim that can make it a wonderful concealer is offering better coverage with a 31% pure pigment. Expecting a more natural look but buildable if necessary.
The second claim offers skin care ingredients to help soothe and protect the skin. Ingredients like Persian silk tree, Jericho rose extract, green tea and caffeine.
The third claim and advantage is a different applicator this concealer brings a cooling metal applicator. It will help to de puff and sooth under the eyes.
✅ Price
After seeing some of the claims and great advantage a concealer will offer you can expect for it to be a little more expensive. I don’t know the size of the concealer yet but looking at the pictures it seems like a reasonable size too. The price is $30
✅ do we need it ?
Do we need a more expensive concealer ? It is hard for me to swallow paying over $25 for a concealer when some foundations are less then that price range. Now when you find a holy grail makeup item we tend to look away at the price and gladly pay the price.
My skin is imperfect with crazy bags around the eyes, redness and dark spots. With these concern you can see why is a must finding a great foundation and concealer.
In my opinion not everyone will need such an expensive concealer, but if this product offers some great benefits to help the skin then this could be a great product to get.
Now we have to see once is launched if the price can stand alone with the claims. So far Huda Beauty hasn’t disappoint and I hope this product is as good or even better then what it claims.

✅ Ingredients
A concealer that can also help your skin is rare, in fact we consider the coverage over the ingredients it may bring. Going over The Overachiever Concealer a few ingredients started to stand out with a big question mark, I started to wonder why those ingredients and what can they do to offer a great coverage while helping my skin specially a delicate area at that. So I started to read more about 3 ingredients which were those that stood out to me, I wanted to make sure that it can help my skin, it wont affected in anyway since my skin is sensitive and it can be beneficial while providing a great coverage.
So what are those ingredients? The first one is one we love and enjoy which is Green Tea – this ingredient can help with discoloration which is key for most people specially with dark circles. Another ingredient is Jericho Rose Extract – reading about this plant is consider a special one, can you imagine a plant in the desert with a long time drought no sign of surviving but once it rains this specific plant turns green again. I dont know much about this ingredient for the skin but it does claim to help moisturize. The last ingredient I was intrigued about is the Persian Silk Extract – can help in areas that looks dull and tired.
I am putting both concealers to the test, you can see the before and after picture
Here Is the first day trying out the Concealer, I only used the Overachiever (first picture concealer on one side only next picture is after more than 6 hours wear)
✅ My Impression
After using this concealer a few times with different foundations, pairing it side by side with other concealers and with and without powders I can say I am impressed. At first I was a little taken back because I didnt see super wow results since I dont have dark circles but taking pictures and looking at my problem areas I do like how my makeup looks when I wear this concealer. For starters my baggy eyes dont look as tired as they do with other concealers, the section were the concealer is applied doesnt look dry or cakey. One thing I notice for a full coverage concealer my makeup looks lighter around my eyes. I even paired The Overachiever with Too Faced Concealer since it also offers a nice ingredient and seeing the results I like them both but the one from Huda Beauty diminishes the baggy eyes a little bit more.. Overall I love this concealer and eventhough it is a bit more expensive I will use it in the areas that matters most which is around the eyes, I will use another concealer when doing the rest of my makeup for example the nose and chin area.
