Every week is a good idea to check your local supermarket weekly ad deals, that way you get to save on items you was probably thinking of getting anyway. It does feel good when you start to spend a few hours a week checking for deals and cutting coupons to later see in your receipt how much you saved on that trip. Is not about emptying the shelves at your local supermarket but to get those items that are on a good deal when combining special prices and coupons. But if you are new to couponing is best if you read here step by step on how I got started and some sites I recommend.
Here is a quick trip I made to Publix and got some items that are on special.
