Last week I shared how you can make your own Pumpkin Spice Syrup which can be added to drinks like Iced Coffee and Lattes. The syrup is pretty easy to make and it only has 18 calories per tablespoon (but it varies depending on the ingredients and amount of sugar is added).
Making your own Latte at home can save you a lot of money and in addition you can control the ingredients that goes in as well. I am still learning on how to eat healthier and cleaner and during my current recipes this year I have been changing some ingredients to make it a little healthier and with less calories.
Here is what I did..
An estimated Calories on a full recipe;
- Cashew Unsweetened Milk – 25 calories per cup
- Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup = 18 calories per tbsp
- 1 Packet of Truvia = 0 calories
- Strong Brewed Coffee = 0 calories
- Lite Whipped Cream = 20 calories per 2 tbsp
One recipe if using 1 cup of milk, 1 tbsp of syrup and 2 tbsp of l.whipped cream = 63 calories
63 calories on a hot drink you enjoyed is pretty much worth making it at home.
